Saundra Krienke · Senior Product Marketing Manager
A product creates value when customers have a reason to care.
Understanding where a product creates real value means getting underneath the problem: what customers are trying to accomplish, what they’re doing today, and why they should care enough to change. How will this make their work easier, save time, solve a real problem, or create an outcome that matters to them?
Opus1.io · Senior Product Marketing Manager, Contract
Keeping customer value clear at the speed Product ships.
35+
Product and feature launches in four months
Opus1 shipped continuously, with multiple product and feature updates often moving at once. I ramped quickly into the product and built a repeatable approach for translating what changed into customer value, positioning, launch strategy, enablement, and adoption.
My job is to understand what each release changes for the customer, define the value proposition, and turn that into the right GTM story and support.

GTM + post-launch
Making high-velocity GTM repeatable
I created reusable AI-assisted PMM workflows and an MCP-connected release workflow that centralized product context and reduced information-gathering bottlenecks across releases. This created a more repeatable way to move from product context to positioning, launch strategy, and GTM readiness as release velocity increased.
Driving post-launch adoption
Clearer positioning, in-product communication, and post-launch optimization helped turn awareness into sustained product usage, with active accounts growing significantly within three months.

Volunteered for an early pilot
I partnered closely with Product during early discovery for a new AI assistant, using feedback from 110+ customers to understand workflows, unmet needs, trust considerations, and adoption barriers. The research helped us understand not only whether customers wanted AI, but where it could create meaningful value in their actual work.
Opus1.io · Customer expansion
Turning new product value into customer expansion.

New ARR
When Opus1 introduced new paid capabilities for existing customers, I partnered with Product and Customer Success on a value-led expansion strategy, translating customer signals and product value into positioning and messaging.
The challenge was making the additional value clear enough for an existing customer to see a reason to pay more. That positioning and messaging supported 27 deals and approximately $34K in new ARR in the launch month.
From the team
“Saundra was clearly one of the best product marketers I’ve worked with. But her ability to add value in such a short period of time is astonishing.”

“Thank you SO much for the way you showed up and brought our product releases to life for our customers and the industry! You seriously are incredible at what you do.”

Zight · Senior Product Marketing Manager
Built the PMM function Zight didn’t have.
When I joined Zight, there wasn’t an established product marketing function. I connected with Sales early to understand what they were hearing from prospects, how buyers were talking about the product, and where teams were getting stuck. That surfaced two opportunities quickly: we needed a clearer, more consistent sales story and competitive information that was easier to use when it mattered.
I started with what Sales was hearing
We needed a clearer product story.
Prospects weren’t always hearing the same story about Zight or why it was different. I worked with the CMO to sharpen the narrative, then made sure Sales could carry it into conversations through the deck, talking points, training, and pitch certification.
We needed to make competitive knowledge usable.
There was plenty of information about competitors, but it lived in too many places and wasn’t easy to use in a deal. I brought it together around what Sales needed to know: where we were different, how to position against alternatives, what objections to expect, and how to respond.
Then I built the competitive intelligence foundation.
Competitive information was limited and scattered across places like Sheets, Confluence, and slides, so I reviewed what existed, conducted new research, and built a more usable competitive intelligence foundation. I created a dedicated Slack channel to share meaningful updates across Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and Sales, and continuously monitored major competitors for changes in pricing, features, positioning, and market activity.

Zight · Tier 1 AI launch
From customer signal to adoption.
I worked closely with Product throughout the launch, using customer and competitive insight to shape the GTM strategy and carrying those learnings through early access, launch, and adoption. After release, I stayed close to customer feedback and product usage to identify friction and continue refining the experience and messaging.

Launch wasn’t the finish line. I continued monitoring customer feedback and product usage after release, using those signals to refine messaging, education, and adoption strategy.

Pricing + packaging
Making product value easier to understand, buy, and sell.
As Zight’s product and customer base evolved, I helped shape pricing and packaging from the initial plan architecture through later repositioning. We looked at customer needs, usage patterns, competitive pricing, product differentiation, and business goals to make sure plans reflected where customers saw value.
The work also had to make that value easier to communicate. I translated pricing decisions into clearer plan definitions, messaging, and field guidance so Sales and Customer Success could navigate pricing conversations with more confidence and customers could better understand which plan fit their needs and why.

A little about me
I’ve always been drawn to the value side of the work: understanding what customers are trying to accomplish, why they should care about what we’re building, and how to make that value clear to the people buying, selling, and using it. That curiosity is what pulled me toward Product Marketing, and it’s still the part of the work I enjoy most.
I care about doing work that matters, whether that means helping people, strengthening communities, protecting the environment, or creating a positive impact in some other way. The people around the work matter just as much. I want to work alongside people I respect, where different perspectives are welcome, people learn from each other, and there’s a shared sense that we’re building something worth caring about.
Outside of work, I’m happiest outdoors and usually looking for an excuse to be on the water or outside, whether that’s fishing, boating, hiking, golfing, camping, traveling, fitness and wellness, or simply staying active.
